After months of testing and hundreds of hours of development, LiveRC.com is now ready to push the envelope yet again by extending its services from not only large events, but to club races as well! Using LiveRC.com at your track is a fast, simple, and great way to promote your facility.
What You Get
When using the LiveRC.com website to broadcast your race, you will greatly increase your track's publicity. People who may have never known you existed will be checking out your races from all around the world. In addition to the publicity, LiveRC.com also gives you the following features:
- Ability to post live practice lap times
- Ability to show live races
- Instant and automatic uploads of the race results within seconds of the end of each race
- Ability to hook up live audio and/or video to show your races online
- Full control over the right side banner (120x600), plus banner statistics
With control over the banner shown on the right (when your track is being viewed), you will be able to make money by selling the ad space to potential sponsors, promote your online store, promote upcoming races, or anything else you would like. Additionally, you are allowed an unlimited number of banners to be shown in rotation (banners switch every 5 minutes). You can keep the same banner up all the time, or rotate between any number of them.
Requirements
To use the LiveRC.com services, you will need the following requirements:
- RC Scoring Pro scoring software
- 56k or faster internet connection to broacast races and practice
- 128k DSL or faster internet connection to broadcast audio and/or video
- Macromedia Flash Player 8 or higher browser plugin installed
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Microsoft Windows 98 or higher
- 700mhz or faster computer with 128mb or more of ram.
- For audio, you will need to split the announcers microphone into the microphone jack on the computer (recommended), or a separate microphone that is plugged into the computer
- For live video, you will need either a webcam, or a digital video camera capable of streaming the video to the computer (recommended, generally requires firewire)
Costs
For 2008, we have completely revised and lowered our pricing structure. With increased growth in the site, our cost per event has significantly dropped and LiveRC is now affordable for any track's budget! See our different pricing options below:
- Monthly fee: $30/month + $25 one-time setup fee
- Yearly fee: $300/year, one-time setup fee is waived (saves $85 over paying monthly)
- LiveRC attendance fee: $500 + travel expenses* (see below for details)
* = If you would like to have a LiveRC representative attend your race to broadcast it, you can hire us to come out and bring all of the needed equipment. We will bring a portable internet connection, cameras, computers, and all other needed equipment for the broadcast. You will be required to have all equipment for scoring, including a valid license of RC Scoring Pro. This fee will include 4 days (Thurs-Sun). If you need us for additional weekdays, the cost is $200 per additional day.
Signup/Additional Questions
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us. We are willing to work with you on any custom hosting packages that you may be interested in. If you are ready to signup, please email us with the package you are interested in and your track name and location and we will send you the information we need to get you signed up. Payments can be made through PayPal, check, or money order. Once funds are received (and cleared if a check is sent), you can be setup and ready to broadcast generally within 24 hours.
